Commercial License

Corporations, ad agencies, filmmakers, game developers...

  • Purpose: Geared toward businesses, large-scale productions, and creators whose projects generate substantial revenue or involve widespread distribution.

  • Usage Scope: Includes everything in the standard license but expands to cover:

    • Commercials and advertisements aired on TV, radio, or digital platforms.

    • Major film or TV productions (e.g., Netflix shows, Hollywood films).

    • Corporate branding (e.g., company theme music, explainer videos).

    • Video games with large-scale distribution.

  • Revenue Cap: Often allows use in projects with higher revenue potential, but some commercial licenses might place revenue caps for productions (e.g., only for projects earning under $500,000; beyond that, a custom license is needed).

  • Exclusive Rights: May allow exclusivity (for a premium) to ensure no one else can use the same track.
